Maintain a youthful interest in technology, but don't let it control you: PM Modi to Bill Gates
In his discussion with Bill Gates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared some insights about his connection with cutting-edge technology and innovation. He indicated that even though he possesses a youthful fascination for technology, he has never allowed it to dominate him.
In his conversation with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed the nature of his personal relationship with technology. Both Modi and Gates were interested in understanding each other's experiences with technology.
When questioned on his association with technology, Prime Minister Modi shared that even though he is captivated by technology and naturally inquisitive about all new advancements, he has never been dependent on it, nor has he ever been its puppet.
"The Prime Minister expressed a keen interest in technology, admitting that while he isn't a specialist, he has a child-like curiosity about it. He emphasized that he doesn't let technology control him, even though he always keeps an eye out for the newest developments. When he learns about a novel piece of technology, he is always considering ways to integrate and make use of it, demonstrating a forward-thinking attitude," he explained.
The Prime Minister elaborated on his perspective towards novel and upcoming technologies and his connection with them. "As soon as AI began to garner global attention, I started contemplating how we could integrate it into our daily lives," he stated. "I often search for various uses and benefits of technologies. I possess a natural curiosity, perhaps a divine blessing, to quickly embrace and adopt innovations," added PM Modi.
PM Modi was also keen to know about Gates' voyage in technology. He queried the co-founder who became a philanthropist, about the most fulfilling experience in his career as a technology leader.
Gates started by saying, "I consider myself fortunate to be born during the era of the computer chip revolution. I received a high-quality education. I possess a positive outlook on life. The opportunity to leave school to take risks didn't appear overly hazardous to me," he expressed.
Gates expressed that the most thrilling aspect for him was observing people utilize the technology. He always desired software for his personal interest. He found immense satisfaction in witnessing the positive impact of technology on people's lives.
