PM Modi assures Bill Gates that he won't let a digital gap form in India, stating that women are now more willing to embrace modern technology. Initiatives such as 'Namo Drone Didi' have played a vital role in shifting the attitudes of rural Indian communities, PM Modi shared with Bill Gates during a candid discussion. He also mentioned his discussions with various African leaders, offering assistance with comparable projects.

In a discussion about India's digital evolution with Bill Gates, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that he will not allow a digital gap to exist in India. Furthermore, he stated that Indian women, regardless of their social or economic standing, are embracing new technology with significant zeal.

Gates stated that India is introducing technology in such a manner that it should be accessible to all, especially benefiting those who need it the most.

"Upon learning of the global digital disparity, I made a commitment to prevent such an occurrence in India," PM Modi stated.

"Essential digital infrastructure is a significant need on its own. Our aim is to ensure that even the most isolated village can utilize critical technologies, as they are a crucial demographic for us," he further stated.

PM Modi elaborated on the way rural Indian women have adopted technology and are achieving amazing results. He claimed that women in India are more open to embracing new technology. He stated that when technology is tailored to their needs, they respond and adapt quickly. He cited the 'Namo Drone Didi' initiative as an example.

"We initiated the 'Namo Drone Didi' program with two primary aims. The initial goal was to enable three crore women from disadvantaged families in India to become lakhpati didi, and assist them in earning Rs 1,00,000 every year," he stated.

He stated that the second objective was to stimulate a mental shift. "Women in the countryside of India should not be confined to herding livestock or milking cows. I aim to strengthen them by making technology readily accessible to them."

"This is progressing quite well. I communicate with them nowadays, and their happiness is evident. They express how they were unaware of how to cycle, but now they're capable of operating drones. There's been a significant shift in their mentality," PM Modi continued.

I had conversations with numerous individuals from African nations regarding this matter, and assured them that India is prepared to assist them, as technologies like these provide everyone with equal chances. The key focus is to promote inclusivity for all.
