Samsung plans to release a high-end, 'Ultra' variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 within this year

Samsung has plans to unveil at least two editions of the Galaxy Fold 6 Ultra within this year. Provided specific speculations prove correct, we might witness the arrival of a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, as well as a Galaxy Z Fold 6. Samsung anticipates launching their foldable devices in July this year.

Samsung intends to elevate their game with the introduction of their Galaxy Z series this year, specifically with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Samsung is set to launch at least two different models of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year. Recent information leaks have disclosed the model number of the "Ultra" version.

Previously, there were widespread rumors that Samsung was planning to release a budget-friendly version of the Galaxy Z Fold. For a long period, there have been ongoing discussions about two variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, one of which would be priced lower with certain strategic alterations.

Moreover, it has been suggested in reports that Samsung is working on an "Ultra" style foldable model as a higher-end counterpart to the more affordable version.

GalaxyClub's latest report suggests that the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 will carry the model number "SM-F958."

Samsung has traditionally ended the model number of its premium series devices with the number "6." This can be seen in devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which has the model number SM-F946, and the Fold 4, with the model number SM-F936. So, it makes sense for the Fold 6 to carry the model number SM-F956.

But what's the reason behind including "8"?

Recently, Samsung has been employing this number to denote "Ultra" models. For example, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has been given the model number SM-S928, while the S24+ has been labeled SM-S926. This implies that Samsung is indeed developing an "Ultra" version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Interestingly, the model number has so far only been seen with the "N" suffix, suggesting a launch in South Korea. There's no indication of the same model number for other areas at the moment, but this probably isn't something to worry about. Furthermore, the SM-F956 model number, anticipated for the less expensive model, has not shown up yet.

It is anticipated that Samsung will reveal its upcoming series of foldable gadgets in July.
