Samsung is set to release an upscale, 'Ultra' edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year

Samsung plans to release a minimum of two variants of the Galaxy Fold 6 Ultra within this year. If some speculations are accurate, we might witness the launch of a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, in addition to a Galaxy Z Fold 6. Samsung is projected to release their foldable phones in July this year.

Samsung has plans to elevate their game with the introduction of their Galaxy Z series this year, specifically with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Starting off, Samsung is set to release a minimum of two variations of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year, as a recent disclosure unveils the model number of the "Ultra" version.

Previously, there were widespread speculations that Samsung might introduce a cost-effective variant of the Galaxy Z Fold. The rumors have been circulating for several months about two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, one of which is expected to be more budget-friendly with particular strategic adjustments.

Moreover, it has been reported that Samsung is working on an "Ultra" variant of its foldable device, intended to pair with the more economically priced version.

GalaxyClub's latest report reveals that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 will carry the model number "SM-F958."

Samsung has traditionally ended the model numbers of its premium series devices with "6." For instance, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has the model number SM-F946, and the Fold 4 is denoted as SM-F936. As such, it would make sense for the Fold 6 to be assigned the model number SM-F956.

Why was the number "8" included?

Recently, Samsung has been associating this number with their "Ultra" models. For example, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has the model number SM-S928, and the S24+ has the model number SM-S926. This indicates that Samsung is likely developing an "Ultra" version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Interestingly, the model number has so far only been seen with the "N" suffix, suggesting a launch in South Korea. There isn't any evidence of the same model number for other regions yet, but this probably isn't something to worry about. Furthermore, the anticipated SM-F956 model number for the less expensive model hasn't shown up yet.

It is anticipated that Samsung will reveal its upcoming line of foldable devices in July.
