Samsung introduces AI-enabled fridge, air conditioner, washing machine: New range of AI-powered home appliances revealed

Following the incorporation of AI into smartphones and laptops, technology firms are now introducing AI into household devices. Samsung has unveiled their latest series, the Bespoke Home Appliances, offering AI functionality and improved connectivity.

Technology firms and domestic device manufacturers are going the extra mile to incorporate AI into our daily routines. Following the introduction of AI in smartphones and laptops, we now see AI-enabled household appliances such as fridges, air conditioners, microwaves, and washing machines.

Samsung has revealed its newest range of home appliances that are equipped with artificial intelligence.

The prominent company from South Korea exhibited a range of groundbreaking household devices intended to improve user interaction and promote intelligent living. The revealed products include a fridge with AI visual features that can identify more than 30 types of food and propose recipes, an air conditioning unit with remote control enabled by geo-fencing technology, a microwave designed to prepare health-conscious meals, and a washing machine that can adapt its cycles by learning the laundry patterns of its users.

These state-of-the-art devices come with integrated Wi-Fi, intelligent cameras, and sophisticated chipsets, allowing for effortless incorporation into smart home systems. Users can easily observe and manage these gadgets via the SmartThings app, which provides extra features like suggesting when to replace filters and assisting with expert maintenance services.

Samsung's custom AI devices use Bixby AI voice assistant for power and can also work with other voice assistants, improving user ease and convenience.

Additionally, Samsung emphasized the energy conservation features of its AI-integrated appliances. The AI Energy Mode assures up to a 10% energy reduction in fridges, as much as 20% in air conditioners, and a whopping 70% in washing machines.

Samsung Southwest Asia's President and CEO, JB Park, conveyed his enthusiasm about the launch of Bespoke AI. He highlighted its capacity to transform the way of life in Indian homes and its role in promoting environmental sustainability through decreased energy use.

Samsung's venture into artificial intelligence-powered smart home appliances has grown consistently over the past few years. Earlier this year, the company exhibited its intelligent washing machine and dryer combo at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

Samsung intends to significantly change its earnings ratio from AI home appliances in India with the worldwide introduction of these AI-enabled devices. Saurabh Baishakhia, the Senior Director of Digital Appliances for Samsung India, revealed the company's bold goal to derive 70 per cent of the division's income from Bespoke AI products by the close of 2025.
