AI incorporated into your refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine: Samsung reveals new range of household devices powered by AI

Following the addition of AI in mobile phones and laptops, tech giants are now incorporating AI into your domestic devices. Samsung has introduced their fresh, Custom Home Appliances range, which offers AI functions and improved connectivity features.

Technology corporations and household equipment manufacturers are truly innovating in an effort to incorporate artificial intelligence into our daily routines. Beyond integrating AI into our smartphones and computers, we're now seeing devices such as fridges, air conditioning units, microwaves, and washing machines being optimized with AI capabilities.

Samsung has introduced its newest range of home appliances that are equipped with artificial intelligence.

The South Korean powerhouse unveiled a range of advanced household gadgets aimed at improving customer interaction and promoting intelligent living. The revealed products include a fridge with AI vision technology that can identify more than 30 food items and propose recipes, an air conditioner with remote control enabled by geo-fencing technology, a microwave specifically designed for preparing healthy meals, and a washing machine that can learn users' washing patterns and automatically modify its cycles.

These state-of-the-art devices come with integrated Wi-Fi, intelligent cameras, and high-tech chipsets, which allow for effortless incorporation into smart home systems. Users can easily track and manage these devices via the SmartThings app, which provides extra features like suggesting when to replace filters and arranging for professional upkeep services.

Samsung's Bespoke AI devices leverage the Bixby AI voice assistant and can also work with different voice assistants, thereby improving user-friendliness and ease of use.

Additionally, Samsung emphasized the power-saving features of its AI-powered devices. The AI Energy Mode guarantees up to 10% energy reduction in fridges, up to 20% in AC units, and as much as 70% in washing machines.

The President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, JB Park, showed enthusiasm about the launch of Bespoke AI. He highlighted its ability to transform the way of life in Indian homes and promote environmental preservation through decreased energy use.

Samsung has been progressively venturing into the domain of AI-powered home appliances in the past few years. The company had previously exhibited its intelligent washing machine and dryer combination at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year.

Samsung is planning to significantly increase its revenue from AI home appliances in India with their worldwide release. Saurabh Baishakhia, the Senior Director of Digital Appliances for Samsung India, revealed the company's lofty goal of making 70% of the revenue of its digital appliances sector come from custom AI products by 2025.
