According to a study, women feel that laptops and Smart TVs are not easy to use, but flip-style foldable phones are trendy.

A recent study by Techarc discovered that tech companies need to improve their understanding and accommodation of the distinct tastes and requirements of their female customers. The study revealed that women believe laptop manufacturers do not address their particular needs, and that makers of smartphones should offer better customisation options.

Technology has become a prevalent part of our everyday activities. However, it appears that current technology is not aimed at being easy to use; rather, it's often complex and not at all user-friendly. This is a sentiment expressed by a majority of women in India.

Ladies believe that manufacturers of laptops have not addressed their requirements.

A recent study conducted by Techarc, a consultancy and analytics company specializing in automobiles and new technologies, has underscored a significant discrepancy in the way women perceive tech products.

The study, published just before International Women's Day, highlighted the necessity for technology firms to more effectively address the distinct preferences and requirements of women customers.

The study, carried out with 1,150 women nationwide, offers understanding into women's anticipations about technology products. Out of these women, approximately 650 were employed professionals, while the remaining 500 were housewives.

The Chief Analyst and Founder of Techarc, Faisal Kawoosa, highlighted the significance of recognizing preferences based on gender in the personal technology sector.

He expressed that even though technology doesn't differentiate between genders, there is a potential and necessity to develop products specifically designed for males and females, catering to their individual hardware and software requirements.

In terms of smartphones, women value the diverse array of colors and patterns offered but desire more options for personalization. They're interested in features that can be tailored to their evolving tastes. The research also highlighted their fondness for recent models of flip-style foldable smartphones.

Smart rings are becoming increasingly popular with women in the wearables market. Bulky smartwatches and fitness bands are less appealing to them, especially if they have alternatives. Women often lean towards devices with a feminine design and apps that cater to their specific needs, according to the study.

The laptop market seems to be falling short when it comes to satisfying female consumers, who believe they don't have enough choices that meet their specific requirements. Women think that laptop manufacturers haven't made significant efforts to accommodate their needs. They express a desire for laptops that are lighter and have more appealing, feminine designs, which can be used both for work and personal activities.

The research also indicated that a number of women consider Smart TVs to be not so smart. They felt that the setup and operation of these devices were quite complex, suggesting a significant gap between the design of the product and the experience of the user. Intriguingly, the issue is not confined to Smart TVs alone, other Smart Home Appliances are also falling short.

Techarc discovered that despite the fact that appliance manufacturers primarily target women as the main users of devices such as smart refrigerators, smart ovens, and washing machines, there seems to be a worrisome gap. A lack of knowledge about many of the smart features in these home appliances is evident among women, suggesting a requirement for enhanced instruction and education. Furthermore, the designs of these smart appliances' interfaces should be revamped to be more user-friendly.

Ladies are hopeful for increased cooperation in the tech sector to create gadgets and devices tailored to their needs. They're looking forward to more customization, options, and mobility in upcoming intelligent devices. Additionally, they view artificial intelligence (AI) as a crucial tool for boosting personalization and catering to varying user tastes.
