According to a study, women find laptops and Smart TVs difficult to use, while they believe flip-style foldable phones are trendy. The research conducted by Techarc suggests that tech companies need to improve their offerings to suit the distinct tastes and requirements of female customers. The study revealed that women believe laptop manufacturers don't address their specific needs and smartphone manufacturers should provide more personalized options.

As technology becomes increasingly ingrained in nearly every facet of our existence, it appears that contemporary technology is not built to be easy to use. Rather, it is complex and not at all user-friendly, a sentiment echoed by the majority of women in India.

Ladies believe that laptop manufacturers have not met their requirements.

A study conducted recently by Techarc, a consultancy and analytics company specializing in automobiles and innovative technologies, has emphasized a significant disconnect in the way tech products appeal to women.

The study, published just before International Women's Day, highlighted the necessity for technology firms to more effectively accommodate the distinct choices and necessities of women consumers.

The study, carried out with 1,150 women nationwide, offers understanding into what women anticipate from technology products. Approximately 650 participants were employed, while 500 were housewives.

The Founder and Chief Analyst of Techarc, Faisal Kawoosa, stressed the significance of recognizing gender-based preferences in the realm of personal technology.

He expressed that, although technology doesn't differentiate between genders, there's a necessity and potential to develop products specifically designed for men and women, catering to both their hardware and software requirements.

In the realm of smartphones, it's evident that females value the diversity in color and design choices available but desire more tailored personalization options. They're interested in features that can be tailored to their fluctuating tastes. The research also uncovered a particular preference for the newly emerging flip-style foldable smartphones.

Smart rings are becoming increasingly popular in the wearable technology market, particularly among women. On the other hand, they often steer clear of smartwatches and fitness bands with a chunky build, given the option. According to research, women also favor devices that have a feminine design and are equipped with apps that cater to their specific requirements.

Women feel overlooked in the laptop market, with a sense that there are few options tailored to their requirements. They perceive a lack of significant efforts from laptop manufacturers to cater to their preferences. They desire laptops with lighter weight and more feminine aesthetics, which can serve both their professional and personal needs.

The research also showed that numerous women don't consider Smart TVs to be user-friendly. They perceived them as difficult to install and use, highlighting a significant gap between the product's design and the user's experience. Notably, it's not only Smart TVs, but other smart household devices also perform poorly.

Techarc discovered that despite the fact that household appliance manufacturers designed smart refrigerators, smart ovens, and washing machines with women as the main users in mind, there appears to be a worrying gap. The understanding of numerous intelligent features in these devices is limited among women, suggesting a necessity for improved training and awareness. Furthermore, these smart appliances' interfaces should be updated and redesigned to be more user-friendly.

Women look forward to increased cooperation in the technology sector to create gadgets and tools designed with their needs considered. They foresee more customization, options, and mobility in upcoming intelligent devices. Artificial intelligence (AI) is also viewed as a significant facilitator for improving personalization and addressing various user choices.
