Apple is expected to unveil several new audio devices this year, including a more affordable version of AirPods, possibly named AirPods Lite. According to experts, Apple may set the price for these at $99.

Apple could at last unveil a set of AirPods that are genuinely affordable. The tech titan is predicted to revamp its AirPods series later this year by bringing out several new versions.

In a recent communication to investors, Jeff Pu, an analyst, echoed the anticipations, affirming that Apple is set to release a more affordable version of their "AirPods Lite" in the latter half of 2024. He also confirmed the planned launch of the new AirPods Max later in the current year.

Pu's study suggests that AirPods manufacturing will ramp up later this year due to the launch of a more affordable model. His examination largely centers around the effects of AirPods production on Apple's comprehensive supply network and its associates.

In general, Pu predicts that by 2024, AirPods sales will drop by 4% annually to 55 million units, as a result of reduced interest in current models.

Nonetheless, Pu didn't give any precise information about what these budget-friendly AirPods, which he called "AirPods Lite," would entail.

Apple expert, Ming-Chi Kuo, has also spoken about Apple's plans to launch a budget-friendly version of AirPods, expected to hit the market in 2024. Kuo hinted that this supposed "AirPods Lite" could be sold for $99, although the price could be slightly higher in India. Nevertheless, it's still anticipated to be less expensive than the second-gen AirPods.

At present, there are five unique models of AirPods available from Apple. The 2nd generation AirPods are priced at $129 in the US and Rs 12,900 in India. The 3rd generation AirPods, with a Lightning Charging Case, are priced at $169 or Rs 19,990. There is also an option for a MagSafe Charging Case, which is priced at $179 or Rs 20,900.

When it comes to advantages, the second-generation AirPods Pro is priced at $249 or Rs 24,900. The AirPods Max, on the other hand, has a price tag of $549 or Rs 59,900.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has continually affirmed that Apple intends to release two versions of AirPods 4 this year. Both versions of AirPods 4 are expected to boast a fresh design and a USB-C charging case, however, only the premium model will include features such as noise cancellation.

It's still unclear if Pu and Kuo are talking about the same budget-friendly model of AirPods 4, or if they're alluding to a completely distinct item. As the year unfolds, we can expect more information to come to light.
