Elon Musk's X is now offering all Premium features for free to users who have more than 2500 confirmed followers on the platform. In the same vein, those who have over 5000 confirmed followers will get Premium+ features at no cost.
Elon Musk, the head of X (previously referred to as Twitter), introduced a revolutionary project on Thursday via his official X profile. Musk declared that X accounts with more than 2500 authenticated followers would now have access to premium features at no cost.
Likewise, individuals with more than 5000 followers can use the features included in the Premium+ package at no extra charge.
Musk's daring action indicates a tactical shift for the platform to recognize and incentivize its most active users, thus fostering a more vibrant community of creators.
X has introduced an array of advanced features for its Premium and Premium+ levels. These features are intended to equip creators, influencers, and users with the means for creating content, making money, and facilitating more profound engagement.
The Premium level includes the Edit Post option, which gives users a specific time frame to modify their already posted content. Subscribers also have the advantage of exceeding the usual character limit, allowing them to share extensive content of up to 25,000 characters.
Premium members get the added advantage of increased video upload capacity, allowing for narratives up to three hours long and 8GB in file size for more comprehensive multimedia storytelling. Furthermore, they can create communities on X, fostering relationships with people who have common interests.
On the other hand, Premium+ members get to enjoy special benefits, such as the esteemed Blue Checkmark Verification which represents authenticity and trustworthiness. They also get the chance to earn some of the income produced by ads shown in responses to their posts via the Ads Revenue Sharing function.
Moreover, Premium+ users have the opportunity to earn income through their content by offering subscription-based access to unique content, thus creating ways to make a living on the platform.
Both Premium and Premium+ levels guarantee an improved experience without ads, reducing disruptions during content viewing. Verified users can participate in posts that only allow responses from other verified users, encouraging valuable exchanges within the verified user community.
For enhanced security and genuine identification, users can validate their accounts using an ID issued by the government. Premium members can use Media Studio to effectively manage their uploaded photos and videos. Premium+ members, on the other hand, have access to X Pro, which includes features like multiple customizable timelines, advanced searching features, and the ability to manage contributors. Premium+ members also have the privilege to publish extensive written content with the Articles feature, allowing them to share detailed narratives and insights with their followers.
