According to a study, women believe that laptops and smart TVs are not user-friendly and flip-style foldable phones are currently trendy. The study by Techarc suggests that tech companies need to improve their offerings to meet the distinct tastes and requirements of female consumers. The research revealed that women think laptop manufacturers do not address their particular needs and smartphone producers should provide enhanced customization options.

As technology becomes increasingly prevalent in our everyday lives, it appears that contemporary tech tools are not designed with ease of use in mind. They are complex and not at all user-friendly, a sentiment shared by a majority of women in India.

Ladies believe that laptop manufacturers have not addressed their requirements.

A recent study conducted by Techarc, a consultancy and analytics company specializing in automobiles and new technologies, has underscored a significant disparity in how women perceive technology products.

Unveiled just before International Women's Day, the research highlighted the necessity for technology firms to more effectively meet the distinct tastes and requirements of women customers.

The study, carried out with 1,150 women nationwide, offers a perspective on what women anticipate from technology products. Among the participants, approximately 650 were employed, while 500 were housewives.

The Founder and Chief Analyst of Techarc, Faisal Kawoosa, stressed the significance of recognizing gender-specific tastes in the personal technology sector.

He expressed that despite technology not favoring any particular gender, there's room and necessity to develop product ranges specifically designed for males and females, catering to their hardware and software requirements.

Women, when it comes to smartphones, value the range of designs and colours available but desire more personalisation choices. They're interested in adjustable features that can cater to their evolving tastes. The research further showed their fondness for the latest trend of flip-style foldable smartphones.

Smart rings are becoming increasingly trendy in the wearable tech market, particularly among women. On the other hand, women often steer clear of smartwatches and fitness bands due to their sizeable and chunky designs, given the option. Devices with a more feminine look and apps designed for their specific needs are more appealing to women, according to the study.

Women feel neglected in the laptop market, as they believe it does not offer options that meet their requirements. They perceive that laptop manufacturers have done little to address their needs. They express a desire for more lightweight laptops with designs that have a feminine touch and are appropriate for both work and personal purposes.

The research also showed that a significant number of women consider Smart TVs to be not so smart. They felt these devices were too intricate to install and use, suggesting a substantial gap between the design of the product and the user's experience. Fascinatingly, the issue isn't limited to just Smart TVs; other Smart Home Appliances also perform inadequately.

Techarc discovered that despite the fact that appliances such as smart fridges, smart ovens, and washing machines were designed with women as the main users in mind, there is a worrying gap. Many women are not aware of the various smart features available in these home appliances, suggesting a need for more education and training. Furthermore, the user interfaces of these smart appliances need to be restructured to be more user-friendly.

Women are looking forward to more partnerships in the technology sector aimed at creating gadgets that cater to their specific needs. They want to see more customisation, options, and transportability in upcoming smart devices. Additionally, artificial intelligence (AI) is viewed as a significant facilitator for boosting personalisation and satisfying various user tastes.
