Apple to reveal its AI plans at WWDC 2024, schedules yearly developers' meeting

Apple has announced the schedule for the Worldwide Developers Conference 2024, also known as WWDC. During this yearly meeting for developers, Apple is forecasted to discuss its Artificial Intelligence initiatives and upcoming operating systems such as iOS 18, iPadOS 18, visionOS 2, tvOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11.

Apple has declared that its yearly Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will commence on June 10. During this event, the technology powerhouse is expected to disclose its eagerly anticipated plan for artificial intelligence (AI).

The tech powerhouse based in Cupertino revealed on Tuesday via X that their event will continue up until June 14. Apple has kept quiet regarding what they'll be discussing, but insiders and analysts who've been tracking Apple's latest progress suspect that AI will be a major point of discussion during the presentation.

Continuing the trend established with the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, the conference will be held at no cost on Apple's website and developers' app. Importantly, the initial day's revelations will take place on-site at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Apple is anticipated to unveil significant software enhancements for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Vision Pro headset, and smartwatch. Importantly, the corporation's fresh AI approach is predicted to be the prime focus in the upcoming iOS 18 upgrade.

Apple's marketing executive, Greg Joswiak, subtly suggested the importance of the event by saying, "It's going to be Absolutely Incredible." This is a clear sign that the emphasis will be on AI.

Apple's approach to artificial intelligence is expected to include various forward-thinking attributes designed to improve the everyday user experience. Nonetheless, the tech giant does not intend to release its own AI chatbot. Current discussions are taking place with possible collaborators like Google and OpenAI for the provision of generative AI solutions, according to Bloomberg News. In China, Baidu might be the source of Apple's AI capabilities.

Insiders involved in the update process predict that the forthcoming iOS 18 update will be the most significant revamp in iPhone software history. Along with this, Apple also plans to introduce a minor update for the Apple Watch's software and the first substantial upgrade for the operating system of the Vision Pro headset.

The 2024 edition of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is set to kick off on June 10, starting with an exclusive keynote from Apple at Apple Park. The program is jam-packed with a range of events such as the State of the Union, the Apple Design Awards, and numerous developer sessions among other activities. Participants also have the chance to join in on video sessions and interact directly with Apple's team of designers and engineers, promoting networking within the global developer community.

Apart from iOS 18, Apple plans to showcase upgrades for several other operating systems such as iPadOS 18, visionOS 2, tvOS 18, macOS 15, and watchOS 11, at the WWDC 2024 event.
