Samsung plans to unveil a high-end, 'Ultra' variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year
Samsung is set to release a minimum of two models of the Galaxy Fold 6 Ultra within this year. If some whispers prove accurate, we might witness a Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, as well as a Galaxy Z Fold 6. Samsung is likely to introduce their foldable devices in July this year.
Samsung intends to elevate their game this year with the introduction of their Galaxy Z series, especially the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Samsung is set to launch at least two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year. A recent leak has disclosed the model number of the "Ultra" variant.
Previously, there were widespread rumors that Samsung was planning to release a more budget-friendly version of the Galaxy Z Fold. There has been ongoing conjecture for several months about two versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, one of which would be less expensive and feature certain strategic modifications.
Moreover, it has been reported that Samsung is working on an "Ultra" style foldable model to supplement their more economically priced version.
GalaxyClub's latest report reveals that the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 will bear the model number "SM-F958."
In the past, Samsung has usually ended the model number of their high-end devices with a "6". Take for instance, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has the model number SM-F946, and the Fold 4 has SM-F936. So, it makes sense to expect that the Fold 6 would carry the model number SM-F956.
But what's the purpose of including "8"?
In the past few years, Samsung has employed this number to denote "Ultra" versions. For example, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has the model number SM-S928, and the S24+ is known as SM-S926. This indicates that Samsung is likely developing an "Ultra" edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Interestingly, the model number so far has only been seen with the "N" suffix, suggesting a debut in South Korea. Although the same model number hasn't been spotted for other areas yet, it probably isn't a reason to worry. Also, the anticipated SM-F956 model number for the more affordable version is not visible at this moment.
It is anticipated that Samsung will reveal its upcoming series of foldable devices in July.
