Moon Railway Project: US Department of Defense and Northrop Grumman join forces to construct lunar railroads

In the research, Northrop Grumman will carry out a number of crucial activities. To begin with, the firm will identify the key interfaces and resources needed to build a lunar rail network. Following this, they will carefully evaluate anticipated obstacles, including those related to cost, technology, and logistics.
Northrop Grumman is set to bring the idea of a lunar rail system to life by starting with prototyping, demonstrations, and thorough assessments of the design and structure. The company will also delve into discovering groundbreaking techniques using robotics for different stages of the system's construction and operation. This covers ground leveling and foundation setting, track positioning and adjustment, as well as procedures for inspection, upkeep, and fixing.
