Moon Train: US Department of Defense and Northrop Grumman collaborate to construct lunar railways

The research will include several crucial responsibilities to be carried out by Northrop Grumman. To begin with, the firm will establish the key connections and tools required to build a lunar rail system. Following that, it will painstakingly evaluate anticipated difficulties, including those related to cost, technology, and logistics.
Northrop Grumman plans to bring the idea of a lunar rail system to life by creating prototypes, demonstrating how it works, and conducting in-depth assessments of the system's design and structure. The company will also delve into creative strategies that utilize robotics throughout the stages of building and running the system. This encompasses groundwork and foundation setting, laying and aligning the tracks, and carrying out the procedures for inspection, maintenance, and repair.
The partnership of DARPA and Northrop Grumman signifies a fresh era in the exploration and development of lunar resources.
