Nonetheless, there are a few problems, as expected. For instance, you only receive a 60Hz screen, which hampers the stunning OLED display that is included. But do these flaws genuinely ruin the experience that the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i assures? Let's explore.

The Yoga Slim 7i ideally combines elegance and practicality. With a weight of only 1.4 kg, the laptop is incredibly lightweight and thin, offering effortless portability. Its refined Luna Grey aluminum casing adds a luxurious and robust feel, elevating the laptop's overall quality.

The matte surface eliminates problems with fingerprints tarnishing the laptop’s appearance. However, it's suggested to occasionally clean the lid and the casing using a gentle microfibre cloth.
Additionally, it also eliminates those excessively bold RGB lights. Instead, we only observe a hint of light radiating from the keyboard.
Regarding the ports, the right side houses two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. Despite the inclusion of a great variety of both contemporary and traditional ports, it lacks an SD card slot, which could be useful. The power button and a camera killswitch are also located here.
The laptop is built to cool effectively through sizable vents and is equipped with robust hinges. This design enables the user to open the laptop's cover effortlessly using only one hand. Regarding any bezels, they are incredibly narrow, to the extent that one might consider them virtually invisible.
In general, the Yoga Slim 7i provides a sturdy construction and an upscale design that outperforms its price bracket, particularly with the elegant glass touch on the Lenovo emblem. We also appreciate that, contrary to most of the slim-and-light models we've examined so far, this one seemed the most robust and well-constructed, while still keeping a genuinely sleek form.
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i 2024 Review: Screen Examination. This model from Lenovo features an impressive 14-inch OLED screen that delivers a resolution of 1920X1200 with a shiny surface. The screen is genuinely remarkable, even for a Full HD Plus display. It provides a visually compelling experience with its vivid colors and remarkably dark blacks, common in OLED panels.

The sole disadvantage is its 60Hz refresh rate, which could seem somewhat inadequate when compared to the prevalent 90Hz screens in this price bracket.
The screen's quality is so exceptional that it's perfect for jobs requiring precise color accuracy, such as color grading images or films. We found ourselves quite satisfied using the screen to color-correct numerous photos and videos.
This 14-inch screen provides an outstanding combination of vibrant colors, adequate brightness, and the signature deep blacks that are a characteristic of all OLED displays. Its compatibility with Dolby Vision enhances the viewing experience even more. Viewing high-quality HDR content on this laptop is genuinely pleasurable.

The keyboard is well-arranged in a standard layout, making it user-friendly. The keys are in a chiclet style, are illuminated from behind and have approximately 1.5mm of travel, creating an ideal equilibrium between being overly firm or excessively soft.
This guarantees a continually pleasant typing experience for daily chores. Essentially, using this keyboard is sensory, feels wonderful, and overall provides a fairly robust experience, which should be expected. Under the keyboard, there's a reasonably large touchpad, devoid of any physical buttons, that maintains a nice equilibrium in size. It circumvents any unease from being excessively big, offering users a seamless browsing experience.
The touchpad has a great feel to it and its size is adequate for smooth navigation. Nonetheless, a somewhat bigger trackpad would have been preferable.

Lenovo's cooling system for the Yoga 7i successfully avoids overheating even under extreme temperature conditions. Consequently, the laptop hardly ever displays any heating problems or slows down due to excessive heat, even when subjected to intense, resource-demanding tasks.
Intel's Arc graphics allow for some gaming capabilities as well, although it's not suited for very graphics-heavy games. Games such as Rocket League and Counter-Strike run smoothly on it.

This was with the screen brightness set to around 60-70%. We estimated that with some effort, we could possibly squeeze out an additional two hours of battery life by utilizing the Battery Saver mode. However, considering the efficiency of the new Intel Core Ultra processors, you might not find the need to resort to this unless absolutely necessary.
Despite the Yoga Slim 7i having a decent battery duration, it also features Rapid Charge. This means you can power up your laptop for an extra two hours by plugging it in for just 15-20 minutes using the provided 65W charger.
